(57) Abstract: A biosensor comprises an insulating substrate, an
electrode system provided on the substrate and including a measur-
ing electrode and an opposite electrode, a cover member bonded to
the substrate and forming a sample liquid feeding passage between
itself and the substrate for feeding a sample liquid to the electrode
system, and a reagent system arranged in the sample liquid feeding
passage and containing at least an oxidoreductase and an electron
mediator. The electron mediator is disposed on the substrate, and
the oxidoreductase is disposed on the cover member. They are out
of contact with each other.
